REDUCING RISKS THROUGH PREVENTION-BASED TRAINING
PROGRAMS
The mission of the Risk
Management Team is to provide a healthy, safe and secure environment for
residents, team members and guests. As a service to clients, a competitive,
broad insurance program is offered to all owners who qualify under the program
requirements.
Implementation of Government
Regulated Safety Programs:
Greystar not only complies with
OSHA standards, which explicitly require an employer to train team members in
the safety and health aspects of their job (Section 5(a)(2), but goes a step
above by providing monthly safety newsletters, holiday advisories and periodic
notifications regarding noticeable trends. When faced with specific perils
(earthquakes, hurricanes, wild fires, pandemic flu, etc.) Greystar addresses
each in a systematic and organized matter to ensure emergency preparedness for
each location.
Key Processes and
Services:
Claim management: Greystar Risk Management works closely with
clients when a claim arises, reporting claims and negotiating with the insurer
to ensure a timely resolution. Should coverage disputes arise, our team of
claims specialists stand ready to advocate on behalf of our clients.
LossControl: Our in-house loss control specialist evaluates
workplace safety and recommends proactive steps that clients can take to
mitigate exposure and reduce losses.
Team Member and Resident life
safety training: Life Safety Training offers tools and information to meet
the emergency planning needs of our regional offices and communities. Our
training programs assist our team members and residents with integrating
emergency readiness. Our training provides the knowledge and skills to be
prepared.

There is over 50 years combined
experience among the professionals within the Greystar Risk Management team.
Designations by our team include, CPCU, ARM, Adjuster License, and Degrees in
Risk Management, Legal Studies, Finance, and Business.
Our National Risk
Management Team has developed processes and systems that ensure efficient
control over the potential risks of property management. These extensive
policies and procedures reduce potential liabilities.
